1999


Four kids from a suburb of Athens, Greece record a two song demo tape and send it out to the local Metal Hammer.

2002


After a lot of 'school bullshit', parental misbehaviour, serious money saving ... Gouaime has already moved from Greece to England - while the rest of the guys are still in Athens, the band manages to complete their first Demo/EP – "Falling Certainty" ... in early 2002, release date: 2004.

In 2005, the second Demo EP - "Empty" is released ... This time the reviews are outstanding!
• Voted Demo/EP of the month on METAL HAMMER Magazine and METAL INVADER Magazine.
• Also, the band was interviewed by several magazines and e-zines including METAL HAMMER and METAL INVADER
• One of the songs was included on the Metal Storm sampler, again the TEARS track was the opening track of the compilation!

Summer 2005 Gouaime has returned from England back to Greece and the band is preparing for the recordings of their full length album…after all these years the band had reached the point where everyone felt strong and ready…more than ever…to put some killer music on tape…and right at this point the shit hits the fan…!

Giorgos (bass) and Kostas (keys) decide to leave the band due to lack of time. TEARS music was not generating enough money and the guys had to play with commercial cover bands to cover their rent and bills...Stefanos (vocs) also left the band due to military obligations…in Greece all male citizens are obliged to join the army for a whole year with no pay…a remainder of the fascistic past of Greece (After the 2nd world war up until 1973), a law which by-passes several human rights including that of freedom!

Also…Tassos (drums) has to join the army as well…out of great love and devotion to the band he spends his last two months of ‘freedom’ with Gouaime working on the drum parts and recording all the drums for the TEARS album. Tassos could have spent this time with his family, his girlfriend, going out with friends, etc…enjoying his last days of freedom for the next year to follow…really without Tassos love and devotion to the art of drumming and Tears music…the band might not exist today! All drum parts on ‘Memories of things unnecessary’ – EP and ‘Unravelling Travesties’ – Album are Tassos performances in 2005!


2006


After the drum parts were recorded in Athens… more than a year later Gouaime (Guitars & Vocs)…completes the production of the TEARS record.


2007


At this point Gouaime is already back in England doing a masters in music composition at University of London…due to some very serious family issues, personal drama, loss of loved ones and shitty jobs…and financial struggling…it takes Gouaime one more year to save up for a pro mixing and mastering of the record! In the meantime there were several guest musicians (fellow students at the time and good friends) involved laying down some extra instruments like acoustic piano, flute, cello, violin and more!

TEARS track ‘Time Master’ is the main soundtrack on ‘Crazy Greek Productions’ new film by Nikos Samaras (www.crazygreekproductions.com). The film also features several of Gouaime’s contemporary classical compositions.


2008


Thanasis Lycuras (Bass) joins the band as well as Menelaos Mellios (Guitar) and do a few shows in Athens and the suburbs.


2009


Gouaime moves to Los Angeles where he starts looking for new members, Theo Chistodoulou (Drums), and Nick Blackeye (Bass), both graduates of the Los Angeles Music Academy, join TEARS!


2010


The CD single/EP "Memories Of Things Unnecessary" is released in the early fall of 2010, and a few months later the full length album, "Unravelling Travesties" follows.
