On The Outside
I decided to write a short description on me, the band and what the music stands for… While doing so I have to admit I felt a little bit on the lame side…talking about myself and the music (Read the story on Lame). This is merely a description of our vision as a band and my vision as an artist.
Whether or not any of the following has been accomplished through our music this far, it is up to you to decide and not up to me or the guys to say. We can only put all of our heart and soul, all our time and effort possible to make music that will sound amazing and ... mean something to us and hopefully to others.
On The Inside

Art should liberate people from ideas forced on us by tradition...’true’ artists live their art, they don’t just make it...they walk their talk and set an example...art should awaken and inspire people for a better world. This is the basis upon which all our music has been created this far…
I have always strived to make the music I love without compromise, without holding back…beyond stylistic boundaries and marketing tactics for selling a music product…In my most humble opinion, ’true’ art can only be sincere and straight from the heart…Beyond any trends, music styles, we strive to make music that is 'artistically significant' and honest. When it comes to expression and creativity there should be NO holding back ...
Our debut full length album ‘Unravelling Travesties’ is based entirely on personal experiences I had during my childhood and teenage years…up until I turned 21…all the songs were composed from 1997 to 2005 and then orchestrated and performed during 2005-2007. Music has always been my only way of personal catharsis, not being taught as a child how to communicate my feelings with others…I gradually developed into a teenager superficially sociable yet unable to communicate with family and friends on a more profound level. Music was my only true friend…with whom I’d share all my ideas and feelings without inhibitions, social restrictions etc. ‘Unravelling Travesties’ is a layout of my journey during those years…of my most sincere attempt to find myself and grow stronger than give in to self doubt and all the other ugly feelings nagging me at the time.
On the Lyric side I make an attempt to show both sides of the coin, a blend of hyper optimism and dark pessimism, the stages I went through during those years.
The songs are mainly about raising self awareness and finding yourself, overcoming your fears and ugly memories of the past! In a world dominated by commercialism where we are being 'told' how to look, speak, walk etc…in a world of trends that come and go whose sole purpose is to make us BUY things we really do not need...I try to make music that feels good to me and hopefully will inspire people to find what’s best in themselves. Find the real you and be happy with who you are! Beyond the way we look, the size of our house, and the name on the clothes we wear...we are all people...with individual feelings, hopes for the future, and born with the same power...that of life!
The overall intention of the record is to inspire for an open mind, encourage constructive questioning which will hopefully lead to finding oneself…to grow as a person, be stronger and experience life as it was meant to be…an awesome journey outside the box…outside tradition…outside ego…outside commercialism and consuming trends…outside social/political/religious and cultural boundaries that keep us from reaching out for what matters the most…Freedom within, an open critical mind and sincere love for others and the world.
